Spring Break Part 1
Day 1Sending Xinhui off to Montreal
Actually my Spring Break didn't really have a good start and i will tell you why. My initial plan is to go Phoenix, Arizona and Grand Canyon but in the end I decided to drop that trip cos the drive is too long and the hotel i end up booking at turns out to have no Internet and it is a good 7 hours drive to Grand Canyon. This shows that no one should plan on a trip hastily. but in the end i decided to still go ahead with the car rental and drive around LA county instead. So me and hsienxiong proceeded with the car rental and decided to send Xinhui off to the airport as planned. But alas, there were alot of delays here and there. Her flight is 1310 and we reached LAX at 1235 and she was not allowed on the flight. Damn! The LAX people meant business when they said about the 45 min earlier turn up. Next time no play play le...
Caltech
I drove Hsien Xiong all the way to Caltech. It is a pretty small place. Architecturally nice but the atmosphere is scary.. people were seen reading textbooks even at cafeteria..
Caltech!
Powell Lab not Powell Library
Castaic Dam
After learning so much about hydroelectric power as the biggest source of renewable energy source in California, I think we should go see the biggest dam in Southern Cali. It turned out to be quite a disappointment when i fail to see a steep wall that is dividing the two water reservoirs.

Nothing much was done today.. just returned the car then had Mr Noodle lunch. Also went to the gym and headed to Noodle Planet for dinner. The food is damn good. For the first time i tasted such similar curry taste.
Day 5
Since i have no car today.. i planned to do something that doesn't require a car and it is Getty Museum!!
Getty Museum with Miao Hui
The architecture itself is an art
The paintings looked damn real!
After Getty, we welcomed Xinhui back from Montreal and then made some confirmation of Itinery for Hawaii then off we go!
