Spring Break Part III - Hawaii!!!
Day 3 (Mac Breakfast + Hanauma Bay + Shrimp Shack Lunch + Polynesian Cultural Center + Dinner)We were determined not to miss Hanauma Bay again. So this time round we woke up damn early like 6am and some of us went to get Mac Breakfast. We ate and started driving and reach Hanauma Bay at about 730am and we made it!
Beautiful Hanauma Bay - like paradise..
First time snorkelling
Yippee!
Exchange gang
Me and Charmaine
Just as some of you guys think that snorkelling is very easy, it isn't so. It requires you to know how to swim first and a certain level of physical fitness to swim against the currents. Xinhui almost drowned.. luckily i was there to save her man.. it was a close shave..
We left Hanauma Bay late and had to rush to Polynesian Cultural Center. Saw this cute yellow truck and decided to stop for lunch. It is called Shrimp Shack and apparently it won some accolades.

Polynesian Cultural Center - It is this very touristy place. For those who love touristy stuff, this is the place to come early for. I am glad we came late cos i dont like commercialized stuff. But still we found some fun stuff to do. Didn't use my camera alot.. alot of other pics were with my friends. Will post them here next time.
Horning through the seashells (I can play octaves! It is like playing my trombone)
Spearthrowing.. You are supposed to use your left hand as a pivot and then use your right hand to purge the spear out. Charmaine is damn good.. our huntress.. look at her serious expression to nail some (hot) target.. haha.. i was a joke la.. but i can shoot far!
Spearthrowers!
We learnt how to dance here. haha..
There was this show at night but i didn't take any good pics.. was too tired man..
Day 4 (Pearl Harbour + Chinatown Lunch + Waikiki Beach + Dole Plantation + Waimea Falls + North Shore + Tanaka Teppanyaki Dinner + Clubbing)
We woke up damn early to go Pearl Harbour (opens at 730am). It is said that the queue is crazy. Well, since the entry is free and it is a site of rich historical meaning.. tour groups starts arriving as early as 640am. We made it there at 645 and we were the second group to start queueing.. So proud of you guys man.. so sorry that i have to plan it like that =p

Look at the queue at 650am
USS Arizona Memorial - it is built above the sunken battleship
Very nice architectural design
Salute!
All of us.. most are half asleep..
There is also some display stuff in the Museum (I realised i am not a very museum person)

Next is Dim Sum Brunch at this Good Luck Restaurant in Chinatown of O'ahu. It is very cheap. We paid less than USD 7 per head and it was very filling
Some of us went back to hotel to sleep. I went to Waikiki Beach to continue tanning and watching people play beach volley.. reminded me of my Sheares Hall Eekers man..

I woke up the gang and managed to leave our hotel at 230pm. We drove along the western side of the island this time round. Passed by Dole Plantation - it is the pineapple plantation on O'ahu and it has this maze (largest in the world) created out of shrubs. Need to pay to get in. We don't have the time so gave it a miss. The fragrant pineapple smell filled the air though. =p
The drive along western area

The backseaters - Xinhui and Miao Hui. They were learning map reading from me.
Me as map reader (Actually better get GPS in Hawaii cos the maps are not very detailed.. alot of roads are not on the maps)
We were actually heading towards Waimea Falls and after that wanted to go North Shore. However we missed the directional board and we passed it, reaching North Shore first. It was really beautiful there and it was a while before i realised we overshot. We saw this area where they sell some juicy pineapples and coconuts. So decided to stop by and try.
Pineapple Stop
Hmmm.. juciy!!

Waimea Fall is the natural waterfall of O'ahu. Being the mountain turtles that we are.. we thought we shouldn't give it a miss.. some of us wanted to swim in it too. It turned out to be quite disappointing. The waterfall is quite puny.. We paid USD 8 just to enter, wasted man..
The walk to Waimea Falls
Waimea Fall
I became taller than the waterfall!
A funny peacock at the Waimea Nature Reserve
North Shore!! It has the biggest waves - ideal for surfing! We should have come here earlier man
Sunset at North Shore
The sun goes down fast!

Teppanyaki dinner at Tanaka which is considered top 10 in the States. Shopping at King's Village

Clubbing wasn't that fun. As charmaine is only 19, we can only explore the above 18 clubs. I would have chosen an above 23 clubs anytime man. 18 - 22 kids are trouble makers most of the time.. Sorry no pics.. i was too lazy to bring my camera out. I think must go Maui for clubbing.
Day 5
Go home.. sobs..
